Grid servers updated with OS X 10.11.3
The grid servers are in the process of being updated from OS X 10.10.5 to 10.11.3 – which is a major update that will both result in increased stability and performance. The servers are running mono 4.2.1-102. The grid will be down for about an hour while the last and critical server is being updated.
Next the databases will be migrated from PostgreSQL 9.4.5 to 9.5. This is also a major update and the grid will be down for the database migration. The 9.5 update will prompt code changes that will fix some long standing bugs when running the grid with PostgreSQL.
Avatar can now be pushed
The Bulletsim physics has been updated for llPushObject so that avatars can now be pushed by a force.
In addition broken land collision has been fixed (OpenSim Mantis 7798).
Agent Preferences now stored per user
Thanks to some input from TomDataworks, the code that stores viewer Agent Preferences such as the language and hover height is now stored per user on the grid server. This only worked with the MySQL database previously.
Per date only the Singularity alpha viewer can update the hover height.
